VENUS ON THE HIGHWAY Climb in the front seat and I will take you on a drive turn on the music, turn off your mind Zen Out, Unwind I’ll take you past the houses and the corner store till now everything was such a chore/bore past all the places you never missed before Suitcases cluttered in the back, you’re wondering where we'll unpack “Never mind” I say, “This life is our way and we will find our home someday your hand in mine, our hearts in hope, searching for our smiles a way to cope there’s no room for fear, only faith and hope can reside here. I put an Angel on the dashboard to show me the way. learning the New Direction so Love will stay. Venus on the Highway, send destiny my way, moving towards a brand new Day. Rusty the Sun comes up and you wonder why you are here. I caress your doubtful brow and say, “The time for change is now my dear” speeding through our day, new borders with no boundaries, passing the past away Freedom gives way to fantasy - all the things you wanted to BE, just turn another corner and they are Reality.
